I grew up on a farm in the South, where caring for plants was part of everyday life. My father raised corn and soybeans, while my mother and I tended fruit, flowers, and a vegetable garden filled with watermelon and okra. I also created and cared for my own special project, a quiet grove in the forest that I pruned and nurtured over the years.

That early connection to the natural world led me to study horticulture at the New York Botanical Garden. I later managed a plant maintenance route for John Mini Distinctive Landscapes, gaining professional experience caring for plant collections throughout New York City.

Today, I live in SoHo, surrounded by my own little indoor jungle. I bring together a lifetime of hands-on experience, horticultural knowledge, and personal attention to help plants thrive in homes throughout Lower Manhattan.

I specialize in thoughtful, environmentally responsible plant care guided by the principles of Integrated Pest Management. This means carefully monitoring plant health and addressing the conditions that allow problems to develop. For fungus gnats, for example, I may recommend adjusting soil moisture, improving watering practices, and using yellow sticky traps to monitor and capture adult gnats.

Every approach is carefully considered with the home in mind, including the well-being of children and pets.
